Trains

David continues learning, refining technique, and staying connected to the craft.

02

Social dances

Lessons are grounded in the real experience of dancing with many people, songs, and styles.

03

Competes

Competition keeps timing, connection, musicality, and adaptability under honest pressure.

When I was younger, you could not have dragged me onto a dance floor. It felt like one of the most intimidating things I could imagine—and, at the same time, like something that could be incredibly fun if I could get past the fear.

Learning to dance became a way to face that fear head-on. It gave me confidence, a creative outlet, a welcoming community, and a reason to be more present with other people. It taught me how to walk into a room, hold my own presence, listen, respond, and express myself through music. It's also how I met my spouse—proof that dance can open doors you don't expect, even when that is not why you start.

That journey is the reason I care about the true beginner. You do not need to arrive coordinated, outgoing, or fearless. You need a place where trying does not feel like performing for a room.

My job is to meet you where you are—and help dancing become something you look forward to.

HOW I TEACH

Useful on a real floor.
Personal to your dancing.

I can begin with the first step or help an experienced dancer work deeper into technique, musicality, connection, and style.
↔

Connection over choreography

The main focus is improvised partner dancing—learning how to respond to another person and the music in the moment.

◎

Individual feedback

Private lessons move quickly because every explanation, adjustment, and repetition is based on what your body is doing.

♫

Music you care about

Country and West Coast Swing can live in country, hip-hop, blues, pop, and more. The music should make you want to move.

↗

A path beyond the lesson

Consistent practice and social dancing turn private instruction into confidence you can carry onto any floor.

A local social night

The relaxed, improvisational side of partner dancing David wants students to experience.

SOCIAL DANCING IS NOT A DATING PERFORMANCE.

People are there because
they genuinely love to dance.

Couples, solo dancers, beginners, and experienced dancers can all share the floor. Every partner feels different, every song asks something new, and every dance teaches you something.

READY WHEN YOU ARE

You do not have to become confident before the first lesson.

That can be one of the things we work on together.
